£44,322.72 per annum
41 hours per week - Mon-Fri
The successful candidate will be a certified Fitter/Mechanic who will be responsible for repairing and maintaining both mobile and static plant to ensure utmost reliability and safety whilst reducing downtime. Working as part of a small team, you must be willing to perform tasks outside of the role description.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing technical support to all operations Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks around the ELWA sites Repairing mobile plant around the ELWA sites Anticipating mobile plant failures and making changes or recommendations to prevent reoccurrence to minimize downtime Development and implementation of a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime, providing records of recurrent faulting and engineered solutions to these issues Using hand tools, welding equipment, powered hand tools, and cutting equipment Ensuring H&S standards are maintained, and all related documentation is complete Liaising with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work Undertaking any other reasonable tasks as required Travelling and working between ELWA Sites as and when required
Requirements:
Able to diagnose faults, repair and maintain machinery, and have a good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems Previous experience working with heavy machinery or in a mechanical/auto electrical role can be beneficial Able to work under pressure and work well with others Candidate will be a team player and also work under own initiative, with the ability to plan their own workload Clean driver's license is a requirement for the position
