About The Role We are seeking to appoint a College Support Worker with a passion to support special school leavers in their journey to prepare for adulthood. Ideally, having experience of supporting learners, particularly students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), you will be creative, inclusive, and look forward to working with our students who love to learn and are motivated to attend, enjoy, and achieve!
Your role will involve working with a wider team including teachers, tutors, and learning support colleagues. We offer small class sizes and high levels of support to our learners, allowing them to make the progress they are capable of. Our pathways are highly personalized, and alongside Preparing for Adulthood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physio and hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy, as well as access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive technologists and positive behaviour practitioners.
Vocational themes of learning support students to make progress, both educationally and in self-advocacy, confidence, self-belief, and resilience in preparation for life beyond college in busy and fulfilling destinations.
