Our Client are a privately owned national contractor operating in a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, residential, leisure and healthcare. The South West Division have already secured their budgeted pipeline for the next two years and are thus looking for a number of experienced professionals to join their rapidly expanding team. Options Resourcing have been retained to assist with the recruitment of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on projects in the Bristol area. The successful candidate will support the existing commercial teams on student accommodation projects and will additionally benefit from training and development to further their long term career with our client. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, and cost analysis. Supporting senior quantity surveyors in managing project finances and ensuring cost control. Assisting with the measurement and valuation of works, including site visits as necessary. Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Helping to prepare and review progress reports and forecasts. Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements. Maintaining accurate records and supporting the preparation of final accounts Candidate Requirements A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (or working towards one). Previous experience in a construction or surveying role (preferred but not essential). Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Office and quantity surveying tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam). A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role
