Slough/Langley Pertemps is exclusively representing a fantastic client seeking a dedicated HGV Mechanic for the Slough Service Centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet of vehicles is ready to respond to vehicle breakdowns promptly, assisting valued customers in getting back on the road efficiently. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced working environment, ideal for individuals with a flexible approach to work. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual. In addition to maintaining the fleet, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through specialist recovery & rescue training. There's also potential to obtain your L/HGV driving licence if desired. Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years as an HGV Mechanic (preferred) HGV Level 3 DBS (preferred but not essential) Job Specification:
Conducting inspections, service routines, and repairs Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in various vehicles Completing vehicle safety inspections to the highest standards Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop environment Preparing vehicles for MOT and presentation for testing Ensuring personal and team safety while minimizing the risk of injury and vehicle damage Ordering and sourcing vehicle parts, managing emails, word processing, and conducting web-based searches Carry out fundamental tasks associated with removal and replacement procedures on a vehicle Key Role Attributes:
Attention to detail Proficiency in using, repairing, and maintaining machines and tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Proactive problem-solving abilities Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment Excellent customer service skills Team player with a positive attitude Willingness to learn and adapt to the trade Benefits:
