We are seeking a talented and motivated Principal Engineer, Offshore Structures to join our innovative and forward-thinking team in South East,UK. You will be responsible for leading the offshore design team and providing guidance on executing structural analysis. Key Responsibilities: Lead the offshore design team and provide guidance on executing structural analysis. Take a proactive approach in the decisional process and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Analyze and design offshore structures in accordance with ISO1900 series, API RP2A, AISC code. Create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures, e.g., jacket and topside, for in-place and temporary conditions. Define and design foundation systems, including but not limited to foundation piles and mud mats. Re-design and assess brownfield structures, life extension, reliability analyses, with a strong attitude towards problem-solving and capacity to make critical choices. Design for non-linear analyses, blast, dropped objects, impact, redundancy, pushover analyses. Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity. Be familiar with offshore structural materials, fabrication, and installation aspects. Design floaters and follow up on tender documentation for offshore structures design, leading bidders towards the most efficient solution. Lead and direct a team of structural engineers on a project or support multiple teams of offshore structural engineers on several work packages. Provide tutoring and mentoring to junior structural engineers. Interface with other discipline PDL in relation to the assigned project. Work with planners and project management to organize the project offshore resources' workload to deliver the scope within the schedule. Convey technical information between project management and stakeholders. Travel abroad (both short and long term) as required. Use relevant computer tools to perform the above activities (e.g., DNVGL SESAM Suite, USFOS, ANSYS, SACS). Have good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office package, AUTOCAD, and similar tools. Ability to create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures. Experience in re-design and assessment of brownfield structures. Experience in design for non-linear analyses. Familiarity with offshore structural materials, fabrication, and installation aspects. Experience with floaters design. Capacity to lead and direct a team of structural engineers. Ability to provide tutoring and mentoring to junior structural engineers. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Availability to travel abroad. Experience with relevant computer tools. Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office package, AUTOCAD, and similar tools. Qualifications: Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline such as Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering (with a focus on structures).
