At ZIGUP, we’re looking for a forward-thinking Head of IT Applications to lead the development, delivery, and optimisation of our critical business systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of in-house and third-party applications while ensuring the highest standards of security, scalability, and performance. As Head of IT Applications, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising a wide range of business systems, including mobile solutions. You’ll craft and lead the delivery of an application strategy that balances innovation with operational excellence, ensuring robust lifecycle management, cost efficiency, and compliance with information security standards. Your Key Responsibilities will include: Set the Vision:

Establish and maintain a strategic roadmap for ZIGUP’s application portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Lead & Inspire:

Mentor and lead a high-performing team of approximately 65 colleagues, fostering a culture of growth and innovation. Deliver Excellence:

Implement best-in-class development and deployment practices, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies. Collaborate & Influence:

Network with Technology Business Partners to define high-level solutions and prioritise IT demands effectively. Manage Stakeholders:

Maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders and third-party suppliers, ensuring SLAs, performance, and value are consistently met. Drive Innovation:

What You’ll Bring: Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, managing teams of 30+ in a complex organisation with multiple routes to market. You’ll be well versed in influencing senior business decision makers, including c-suite. Extensive experience in shaping and delivering group-wide application strategies, including consolidating platforms and standards. Deep expertise in software development processes, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks. A successful track record of delivering large-scale applications and cloud-based (SaaS, PaaS) solutions on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals. Demonstrable ability to manage complex portfolios, ensuring effective resource planning and strategic delivery in a dynamic environment. A solid understanding of information security principles and experience developing robust frameworks to ensure data protection.
