The Business: Our client is a global leading food manufacturer, specialising in Mexican style baked goods for the retail market. Their product range includes Tortillas, Wraps, Nachos, Flatbreads, Salsas, Dips, plus an entire 'better for you' range of healthy organic, low carb and gluten free products. They have recently partnered with multiple brands in the motorsport industry and now have links within F1, Motoamerica, Superbike series, American Flat Track (Dirt Bikes). Their biggest sponsors are McLaren and Vance & Hines. With an impressive 3.3bn in annual turnover and 3000 staff across their 30 manufacturing sites worldwide, they are in a sustained period of high growth and to facilitate further customers are hiring for two shift engineers. The manufacturing facility in Coventry is one of their largest and most invested sites and is home to a team of 20 maintenance engineers plus the senior leadership, technical and project engineers. Machinery : High speed machinery including: Conveyors, Dough Makers, Mixers, Separators, Ovens, Lifting equipment, Robots, Cooling towers, Packaging Machinery, Vision inspection machines, Case Makers, Palletisers and other more bespoke machinery. The role : Maintenance Engineer Breakdown maintenance repairing a wide range of production and packaging machinery. Mechanical Maintenance including replacing gearboxes, rollers, belts, bearings, shafts, pulleys, drives and worn parts. Electrical Maintenance including replacing sensors, proximity switches, motors, gearboxes and control panels. Fault finding using PLC's, Multi-Meters, Schematics and Inspection. PPM Maintenance - Carrying out routine servicing and inspections. Hiring requirements: City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship. 3-5 Years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a high speed manufacturing environment, ideally Food or FMCG. Mechanical and Electrical skills required with a strong competency in fault finding and repairing machinery.
