- AND can offer long term career progression opportunities. The Role To provide accurate estimates of costs for refurbishment, planned maintenance and regeneration projects and tender opportunities. Responsibilities : Prepare accurate and commercially astute estimates based on the tender requirements. Obtain material quotations for supplier and subcontract packages. Build, bring, and maintain relationships with Customers, Consultants, Sub-Contractors and Suppliers. Liaising with Contract Managers and planners to establish a programme for works. Lead and present at tender settlements to achieve Board approval for submission. The Person Very experienced as an Estimator working for a main contractor within the social housing refurbishment (kitchens, bathrooms, externals, internals roofing, planned maintenance) sector of the construction industry. Organised, commercially aware, self-motivated, good communication skills, ambitious and a team player. Leadership skills with demonstrable experience of adapting to change and problem solving. Ability to read and comprehend specifications and drawings to produce detailed schedule of works. Experience of using specialist estimating software e.g. Esti-mate, Conquest or similar. Ability to measure works from drawings using measurement software, e.g. Bluebeam or similar.
