We are looking for an experienced
Mechanical Supervisor
to join our team on either a permanent or long-term contract basis (outside IR35). As a key member of our project teams, you will oversee the mechanical installation works on high-profile commercial projects based in central London and the West End. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills, a solid technical background, and a proven track record in managing mechanical teams on large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities : Supervise the day-to-day activities of the mechanical team, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. Monitor and coordinate the mechanical installation tasks for large commercial projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and client requirements. Manage and review project schedules, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues in the execution of mechanical works. Provide technical support and guidance to mechanical engineers and technicians, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring adherence to best practices. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety protocols are being followed. Liaise with site management, project managers, and other subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination and efficient project progress. Maintain accurate records of all work, including work orders, inspections, and reports. Key Requirements : Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within the construction or M&E sector, ideally on large commercial projects. Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, including experience with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems installations. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, site protocols, and relevant standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Experience with managing and coordinating subcontractors and on-site teams. Valid CSCS card and any relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS, etc.). Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
