SR00554327 Required As Soon As Possible Shipston High School is a highly successful and oversubscribed 11 – 16 school in attractive surroundings. Class sizes are small, and in July 2023, Ofsted noted that ‘pupils are mature, polite and considerate of others’, further observing that ‘Pupils show positive attitudes towards learning’. We have a unique ethos; high achieving and student centred. As a result, teachers flourish at Shipston High. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner. This position will suit qualified and experienced candidates seeking a senior leadership role with a Science bias managing STEM as an Associate Assistant Head Teacher. This is an exciting time to be joining Shipston High School. Examination results are impressive, and as a consequence of this success, Shipston High is increasingly over-subscribed. The Department is very successful. At GCSE in 2024, results were consistently higher than national averages in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and close to national averages in Science double award. The team is enthusiastic and supportive. The vacancy is ideal for an energetic and forward-thinking teacher looking to develop their career. The school has benefitted from a major project to redevelop the school site, and the Science department has been completely refurbished. For an application form, please visit the school website:
