Our vital service operates 24/7, 365 days of the year to support those attending the QEH with new or ongoing mental health difficulties and illness to identify their needs, ensuring these are met effectively whilst in hospital and to contribute towards timely/supportive discharge planning. You will be expected to work a shift pattern comprising long days and nights. Main duties of the job
We're looking for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced and busy environment, forging excellent working relationships with other health professionals within the hospital and beyond. A flexible 'can do' attitude, with a willingness to build links with acute hospital colleagues is essential to ensure that a proactive interface is created between mental health and acute services. From working alongside colleagues in the A&E department, to in-reaching to the wards, you will work across the QEH supporting individuals presenting to the acute hospital with mental health issues. We're looking for individuals who want to grow and develop their knowledge and skills by working closely with colleagues, sharing experience and knowledge to continually learn from each other. You'll have experience, particularly in areas of acute mental health and risk management and older adults' mental health.
