Nursery Assistant • Location: Croydon & Sutton • Job Type: Full-time/Part-time • Salary: Negotiable Rates We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistants (Bank Staff) to join our supportive team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a genuine interest in contributing to the early childhood education and development of young learners. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. Day to Day of the role: Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities and curriculum to foster the children’s development. Supervise and interact with children during playtime, mealtimes, and other daily activities. Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures. Provide basic care needs such as changing diapers, feeding, and assisting with potty training. Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other staff members. Attend staff meetings and training sessions to ensure up-to-date knowledge of best practices and policies. Required Skills & Qualifications: A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is highly desirable. Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is essential. A good understanding of child development and the ability to engage children in age-appropriate activities. Teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of safeguarding, health, and safety policies and procedures.
