Shift Manager at Fawley Site
This is an exciting opportunity at our Fawley site to join us as a Shift Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in the safe and reliable operation of the site, in close collaboration with our remote operations centre. Responsibilities
Prepare, issue, monitor, and control all Permits to Work, incorporating contractors’ method statements and risk assessments. Maintain customer contact and service levels by handling enquiries for tonnage supplies in collaboration with our Remote Operations Centre (ROC). Implement local site preventative measures and subsequent action in dealing with emergencies and abnormal conditions at the Fawley site. Review daily shift and production reports produced by the ROC and collaboratively evaluate where improvements can be made. Inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis, diagnose faults on plant and machinery, and provide feedback/raise notifications and work orders for rectification. Ensure compliance with BOC standards around emergency response, contractor control, troubleshooting plant issues, routine maintenance, pre-start checks for machines that start out of hours, site security, and act as the first point of contact and liaison between internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications
Apprenticeship qualification in either mechanical, electrical, or process instrumentation with a reasonable degree of experience in the industrial sector. Experience in a process background in refining, petrochemicals, or gases industries is preferred. Good interpersonal skills along with a pragmatic can-do attitude.
