Adult Social Care in Westminster City Council is a world of extraordinary stories, where our passionate, caring and committed professionals do brilliant work every day. The Role
As a Residential Community Scheme Manager, you will provide support and access to preventative services that promote independence and reduce isolation for older and vulnerable people living in schemes and the wider community. You will offer administrative and enabling support within the Community Supportive Housing Services for individual customers and clients, contributing to the delivery of our overall objectives and priorities. Developing a deep understanding of WCC's values and behaviours, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and other stakeholders to build a sustainable, highly effective organisation. You will also provide coordination of care and support to service users and, where appropriate, effective on-site management services to establish an environment in which they are encouraged to maintain their independence. Committed to offering a standard of service that complies with quality assessment frameworks, you will ensure that service-related policies, procedures, and service protocols are adhered to at all times. About You
With well-developed experience of working with older people in a support capacity, and awareness of the importance of care in the community as it relates to their wellbeing, you will have a good understanding of the statutory and voluntary agencies that work in this area. You will be committed to providing a highly focused, customer-oriented service and ready to use your own initiative to resolve complex out-of-hours problems. In addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills and capable of using basic computer systems, you will be expected to have the ability to work as part of a team while adopting a flexible approach to your tasks. With a positive attitude, good numeracy skills, and excellent timekeeping, you will respond effectively to change. You should also have the ability to carry out regular Health & Safety checks within your own scheme and ensure these are carried out in another scheme if you're covering for a colleague. A First Aid Certificate is preferable. What We Offer
Westminster City Council's strategy is to work towards a Fairer Westminster, where our communities are at the heart of decision-making. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive workplace and employer of choice, encouraging applications from people from all backgrounds. The Council is a Disability Confident Employer. If you have declared a disability in your application, we guarantee an interview if you meet the essential criteria of the job.
