Qualification & Skills

Degree level or equivalent in Engineering preferred, with a minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience in Configuration Management, particularly within the aerospace industry. Essential skills & Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to both existing and future development programmes along with the configuration management (CM) requirements, including but not limited to: Identifying technical problems and applying/integrating solutions. Identifying improvements and supporting the creation of work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines. Supporting the creation of technical solutions against customer requirements; input to bids and proposals within assigned programmes/projects. Acting as the configuration management support to the CM function on nominated programmes. Facilitating and maintaining Change Control Boards (CCB’s). Processing Engineering Coordination Memo (“ECM’s”). Creating and maintaining the CM plan(s) within the assigned programmes. Management of the product data in the GKN PLM system. Supporting or generating test specifications/plans and/or alternate means of compliance (analysis/similarity) as required to demonstrate design solution complies with certification requirements. Supporting technical and customer reviews, including formal gate reviews; the creation and preparation of technical data and presentations of product design. Supporting the release of engineering design data and customer release data. Skills & Experience
