The Opportunity Following an internal promotion we are seeking an Application Maintenance and Support Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, maintenance, and management, with the ability to lead an offshore team and ensure the seamless operation of our business-critical applications. You will work closely with other areas of IT, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and third-party vendors to ensure technology solutions continue to meet evolving business needs and drive IT risk management framework activity to keep our systems and customers safe. How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities) Lead the application maintenance and support team, collaborating with other IT departments, third-party vendors, and the business to ensure timely resolution of incidents and completion of service requests. Drive the implementation and adherence to incident, problem, and change management, early detection, and automation processes. Coach, inspire, and mentor to ensure members collaborate and work effectively within the team and with other teams, to manage risks and dependencies. Provide regular communications to stakeholders on service impacts, planned change, and risk mitigation. Provide support and engagement with projects/change initiatives. Work effectively with Information Security teams and technology service providers to ensure technology solutions are in alignment with organizational strategic goals. Drive operational excellence through a continuous improvement mindset. Support IT risk management and oversight activities (NFRA, SOX, etc.). Work with other members of the team to manage UK IT vendors, including risk management, and responding to ad hoc IT queries (e.g., RFIs, RFPs, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned or required. What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications) Highly analytical, methodical with excellent attention to detail. Ability to think strategically, assess business risk and apply creative problem-solving skills. Strong team player and ability to learn quickly. Ability to manage multiple work-streams simultaneously. Strong relationship-building skills - internal colleagues, 3rd parties, suppliers/vendor management – on and off-shore. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or other related field, or equivalent demonstrated work. Adept at working in a matrixed structure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focused attention to detail. What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills) Experience working in Financial Services, Insurance and/or Banking. SAFe certified or other Scaled Agile frameworks: Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification, PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP). Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices. Interest in broader risk management areas such as IT security, third-party risk, and emerging tech risk management. Familiar with regulatory/industry standards (NIST CSF, PCI DSS, FISC). Benefits We Offer
