An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading cost, project management and advisory consultancy at their offices in Newcastle. Due to continued demand from a growing client base within the energy and natural resources sector, my client is keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors with experience of the infrastructure or heavy civil engineering sectors to help deliver an impressive pipeline of projects.

The Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of the team working with clients involved with power transmission and distribution, nuclear decommissioning and small modular reactors for a major engineering manufacturer. Some of the Quantity Surveyor's key responsibilities will include: Carrying out Contract Administration duties (NEC and some FIDIC) Providing accurate cost monitoring across the project life cycle including forecasting and reporting Taking a proactive approach in monitoring and managing cost variance and cash flow Managing contract change throughout the project Driving improvements relating to accurate forecasts and budgets

Quantity Surveyors applying for this position must have experience in the following areas: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar A sound understanding of the NEC suite of contracts Chartered with a professional body or working towards chartered status
