An exciting opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join our expanding team at a 4-bed children's home (EBD). What You Will Be Rewarded With: Up to £28,100 per annum including sleep-in allowance £500 salary increase upon completion of probation £500 salary increase per year for every 1 year of service after passing your probation Voucher scheme for bank holiday & festive period working Birthday rewards scheme including time off for your birthday (in addition to your holiday entitlement) £200 refer a friend scheme Employee recognition rewards scheme Generous holiday allowance, with a days additional annual leave entitlement increase each year Genuine investment throughout every stage of your career, with enrolment onto the fully funded Level 3/4/5 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification Flexible working opportunities including part-time Enhanced overtime allowance paid at time and a half Relaxed working environments with the very best facilities and amenities All team members are encouraged to dress comfortably in casual attire Free food whilst on shift Funded DBS and Update Service Our successful Residential Support Worker will need to possess the following skills and attributes: Previous experience in care or support roles is preferred Full UK Manual Driving Licence Familiarity with residential care principles is beneficial Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce), or a willingness to work towards this Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight Must have valid Right To Work in the UK As a Residential Support Worker your responsibilities will include: Working and supporting children and young people to create positive outcomes and promote independence Direct practical interactions with children and young people including play, activities, cooking, personal care, engaging with the wider community, supporting educational and health needs General house duties and maintenance Completing health and safety checks Budgeting Keyworking Advocacy Behaviour management Working to a high standard in line with OFSTED inspection framework requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations and the Quality Care Standards. Engage in Planning and implementation of care plans. Adhering to individual risk assessments Working in partnership with other agencies Report writing and attending reviews as required Shift Pattern : 2 days on shift, then 4 days off however this is subject to change based on the needs of the home. Up to £28,100 per year *(£12.24 - £12.76 per hour plus £60 per sleep) * dependent on qualifications and undertaking up to 5 sleep’s per month. Sleeps can change each month.
