Job Summary
Fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a specialist shopfitting / interior fit-out company that is growing and continuing to go from strength to strength, completing full fit-outs predominantly for high-end / luxury retail brands throughout the UK.
The CAD Designer is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering interior fit-out projects in Travel Retail, High Street Retail, Leisure, and Commercial sectors of varying size and complexity.
Responsibilities and Duties
Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.
Review CAD drawings and ensure that the co-ordinated details and dimensions are correct.
Attend site to complete measured surveys.
Produce setting-out drawings for luxury retail projects.
Coordinate with various subcontractor interfaces and design details.
Engage with the project manager and site project team.
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team.
Ensure all drawings are compliant with the NBS specification and current regulations.
Ensure a high level of service is delivered to the customer at all phases of the contract by addressing all their requirements whilst not compromising profit levels.
Maintain regular, consistent and professional relationships at all times with the client(s).
Identify and minimize risk to the business through design: particularly items that fall under statutory compliance, CDM, CDP (contractors design portion).
Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others.
Qualifications and Skills
At least 5+ years’ experience in the Shopfitting and Interior fit-out industry ( ESSENTIAL )
Experience of AutoCAD 2D / 3D / Revit ( ESSENTIAL )
Valid UK Driving licence ( ESSENTIAL )
Fit Out / Shopfitting / Building Sector industry background ( ESSENTIAL )
Practical / Site work experience ( DESIRABLE )
Construction qualification – HNC, degree qualified ( DESIRABLE )
Architectural degree ( DESIRABLE )
Sound knowledge and use of Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Proven ability to work under pressure.
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Salary: £35k – 55k - Negotiable depending on experience.

Holiday: 22 days per year increasing to 25 days (Based on length of service)
