Project Manager

DeepOcean Subsea Services Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager within our Aberdeen office. As a member of the Project Management community, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging but rewarding environment as we transform and grow our business into a world-leading ocean services provider, enabling the energy transition and sustainable use of ocean resources. You will be responsible for creating delivery excellence across assigned project(s), providing certainty and confidence to key stakeholders and ensuring the project(s) objectives are met. This includes leading, guiding, and developing multi-disciplinary project teams, championing high-quality delivery, and promoting a focus on health and safety. Duties and Responsibilities Managing project proposals including determining project requirements, scope, resources, programme, and cost estimates (budgets) for delivering the project. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the key stakeholders, project team, and customer. Anticipate and take pre-emptive action to address issues and potential conflict situations that may impact project delivery. Lead multi-disciplinary project teams consisting of technical/professional staff and suppliers. Project P&L accountability including revenue delivery, margin and overhead management, budget and forecast determination and attainment, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, accounts payable/billing, and cash collection. Achieve schedule, performance, cost, quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements of the project from contract award to Customer’s acceptance. Manage changes to project scope. Maintain project deliverables, information, and records. Performance management and reporting (Project & personnel). Manage work being performed by project team members, assuring outputs and KPIs meet the project/business requirements. Develop project management documentation including project management plans, cost estimates and forecasts, risk registers, project schedules, stakeholder registers, project organisation charts, interface registers, etc. to successfully deliver the project objectives. Contract management and contract administration including change management. Monitor and control the project schedule, manhours, budgets, forecasts, and expenditure. Monitor and control project progress according to agreed measures and organisational procedures and recommend corrective action where necessary. Qualifications Demonstrable experience and success as an unsupervised manager within Projects and an appropriate level of tertiary education in a business management and/or engineering discipline is preferable. However, candidates who possess relevant work experience in a similar role in lieu of formal qualifications may also be considered. Possess sound Project Management knowledge/approaches/methodology and experience in the delivery (from tender to completion) of projects and services in the Offshore Energy Industry. Candidates who possess relevant work experience/skills in a similar role within the Onshore Construction Industry may also be considered. Membership or working towards membership of appropriate professional institution (PMI, APM, MRICS, MCIOB) is desirable. Qualification/certification or working towards qualification/certification at professional level, for example, PRINCE2, APM PMQ (APMP) or RPP, PMP is desirable. Champion HSEQS values and processes and demonstrate Safety Leadership by developing an enduring and proactive approach on all Projects and worksites through routine engagement/worksite visits. Experience in supervision, coaching, and performance evaluation in a multinational workforce. Excellent communication skills (English) both written and verbal and ability to effectively interface across multiple stakeholders. Building successful relationships to enable collaboration is a key aspect of this role. Necessary interpersonal skills to interface, manage, and influence a range of internal and external service providers are required. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gather and analyse information skillfully. Develop alternative solutions and work well in group problem-solving situations. Pursue training and development opportunities and strive to continuously build knowledge and skills. Share expertise with others. Focus on solving conflict, not blaming others. Listen to others without interrupting and remain open to others' ideas and try new things. Balance team and individual responsibilities. Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views.
