A leading manufacturer and distributor of pump systems for a range of sectors such as manufacturing, petrochemical, foods, cosmetics, and more are looking for a Product Engineer/Product Manager to join their team.
The Role The role is primarily an office-based position reporting to the UK Director and will require a high degree of IT knowledge and technical aptitude, as well as an ability to communicate at all levels. Training will be provided in the UK and at our factory in Germany.
Responsibilities Gain detailed knowledge of the company's range of pumps, motors, mixers, and pumping applications. Supervise assembly of programmable filling and liquid batch control systems for electric and air-driven pumps, including mobile trolley-mounted solutions. Manage outsourced electrical, fabrication, and welding work and ensure orders/projects are delivered on time. Specify and design custom parts as required. Use CAD software to produce drawings of parts and pump systems. Set up new part numbers and suppliers in ERP system. Place orders with suppliers. Communicate with customers regarding repairs and technical queries. Assist with stock planning and control.
Skills and Experience Qualified to HND / degree level. Minimum 5 years' experience in full-time employment in a similar technical role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a key requirement for the role. Ability to challenge and question, in order to satisfy the customer's needs. CAD drawing experience is essential. Experience with pumps, valves, filters, pipeline design and/or hydraulics extremely beneficial. Vision and drive to implement change and bring efficiency improvements.
Hours 8.30 - 17:15 Mon-Thurs with 30 minutes for lunch, 8.30 - 13.00 on Friday
Salary: £30,000-£45,000
