Job Summary We are currently recruiting a Registered Children's Manager on behalf of our client to manage one of their homes for children with learning disabilities and complex needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, able to motivate and develop their staff team to ensure that the young people have the best care experience possible. Duties

Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, ensuring that all staff are trained and compliant with care protocols. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each child, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social development. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or reactions. Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration and any changes in health status. Collaborate with families to provide updates on their children's progress and address any concerns they may have. Ensure that the facility adheres to all regulatory requirements and Ofsted standards. Provide guidance and support to staff in handling challenging behaviours associated with dementia or other conditions. Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being of all children in our care. Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience within the last 5 years in a role directly related to the residential care of children. Proven experience in a leadership role for at least one year requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role. Have or be willing to work towards level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (NVQ). Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and experience developing care plans for children with diverse needs. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff alike. Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively. A compassionate approach to caregiving, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for children under your supervision.
