Principal Designer Specialist Central London Permanent position - 4 days pw in office Salary: £60,000- £75,000

A highly regarded and design-focused consultancy in Central London is seeking an experienced CDM / Principal Designer Specialist to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to play a pivotal role in championing health and safety across an exciting portfolio of projects. This practice is known for its collaborative ethos and commitment to nurturing talent, providing a supportive and dynamic environment where individuals can truly thrive.

The Role

As part of the CDM team, you'll deliver Principal Designer and Client Advisor services, ensuring health and safety considerations are seamlessly integrated across all design stages. You'll bring a proactive approach, working closely with project teams to uphold the highest standards in safety and design coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as Principal Designer, ensuring CDM compliance and effective risk management. Supporting project leaders in embedding health and safety into the design process. Representing the practice externally, fostering client relationships, and driving business development opportunities. Providing leadership and technical expertise within the team.

About You

We're looking for a motivated, detail-focused professional with a strong background in CDM and design safety. You'll have: A solid understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and their practical application. Experience across all RIBA work stages, ideally within an architectural or design-led environment. Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skills. A background in architecture or a construction-related discipline (preferred). A proactive, inquisitive approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
