Process Engineer

to join their team at a COMAH-regulated facility. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a site undergoing significant upgrades and innovation, where you’ll play a key role in optimizing operations, enhancing performance, and driving long-term value creation. This position is perfect for a proactive engineer eager to make an impact by identifying optimization opportunities, addressing potential risks, and contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability across the plant. The role offers the chance to work on both immediate operational needs and forward-thinking initiatives that influence site-wide performance. Key Responsibilities : Performance Monitoring & Optimization : Regularly assess and report on production unit performance, leveraging advanced tools to identify areas for improvement across the short, medium, and long term. Operational Support : Collaborate with the operations team to troubleshoot issues and ensure production targets are met while optimizing processes. Compliance Management : Validate and submit monthly operational data to meet regulatory and legislative requirements. Project Support : Identify and develop opportunities for small to medium-sized capital projects, supporting these initiatives from concept through to commissioning. Documentation Ownership : Act as the site owner for critical process documents, including P&IDs, area classification drawings, plot plans, COMAH process descriptions, and major accident hazard flow schemes. Requirements : To excel in this role, you’ll need: Education : A degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience : At least 3–5 years of experience in a process engineering role within a COMAH-regulated facility or similar high-hazard environment. Technical Skills : Strong understanding of process design, optimization, and troubleshooting in the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors. Knowledge of Standards : Familiarity with industry regulations, including COMAH, and experience with P&IDs, area classification, and safety documentation. Problem-Solving : A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges. Collaboration : Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across disciplines.
