The GP Liaison Officer will be responsible for driving hospital activity to meet annual NHS targets through the delivery of marketing events and customer liaison campaigns with relevant stakeholders. Main duties of the job

You will be developing effective internal and external working relationships with GP practices and private customer group identifying key opportunities within the hospital. You will also have responsibility for working with the central team to produce marketing material, improving product awareness and increasing activity across all payor groups. The role will include undertaking marketing events to highlight to the local population that they can access NHS services at St Hugh’s Hospital. You will have a close working relationship with the internal referral and enquiries/booking team to ensure the activities undertaken have a clear and measurable pathway through the hospital systems. Encompassing aspects of both engaging with and promoting to the local population, developing metrics with the Hospital Director to demonstrate the success of each activity in line with the expended resource. Work in conjunction with the Hospital Director, Patient Services Manager, Central Marketing team, and other members of the senior management team to devise and implement an engagement and marketing strategy, which ensures the delivery of budgeted activity across all payor groups. Produce and deliver the local hospital engagement and marketing action plan, detailing key initiatives which will drive patient activity. To support the local and central team by producing and maintaining monthly and other regular reports monitoring outcomes from activities, identifying trends and acting upon them appropriately. Ensure a good understanding of local market drivers and ensure these are shared with the central team in a timely fashion to ensure optimum engagement and marketing response. Work with the Hospital Director to define a local consumer marketing strategy, ensuring activity is aligned where possible with both the current market trends. In line with the hospital's engagement and marketing strategy, develop and drive an annual plan of consumer events to support the achievement of the hospital activity targets. Work with the Patient Services Manager to ensure the right processes are in place to maximise and track the conversion from consumer enquiries to appointment. To monitor and report on engagement and marketing activity through enquiry to conversion activities and provide relevant management information. Work with Primary Care and develop a GP and referrer engagement strategy through a combination of events and media channels to include Lunch and Learns, GP meetings, symposia and specific primary care engagement and marketing materials. Develop and maintain the promotion of our Consultants to the GP and wider referrer community through the update of consultant profiles and service offerings on the Website. Person Specification

Experience

Previous experience in a Sales and Marketing or Event management role Experience within the Healthcare market Qualifications

Educated to Degree Level or Equivalent in Business, Marketing or Event management. Skills

Ability to communicate with a varied audience and adapt communication style to meet the needs of the recipient Exceptional presentation skills Ability to work on own initiative with a proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to change at pace.
