who are interested in joining a reputable engineering company on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will take a senior leadership role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for a variety of mission-critical data centre projects. The role requires a seasoned electrical design engineer with a strong background in mission-critical facilities, who can lead project teams, ensure the highest technical standards, and take a hands-on approach to design when needed. This is a hybrid opportunity, with a preference for candidates to operate flexibly from the Manchester or Birmingham offices, though remote working may be considered for the right candidate. About Our Client Our client is a global engineering and project delivery firm specialising in mission-critical facilities such as data centres. With a reputation for innovation and technical excellence, they deliver complex projects by combining collaboration and expertise to meet client needs efficiently and sustainably. Key Responsibilities Lead the electrical design for data centre projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. Manage and drive project teams to deliver on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Provide hands-on design support, including creating detailed calculations, layouts, and technical specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical development and innovation. Identify and implement sustainable and efficient solutions tailored to data centre requirements. Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals and client presentations. Requirements Extensive

experience in electrical design for data centre or mission-critical projects. Proven leadership in managing teams and successfully delivering complex projects. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Membership in a professional body such as IET is desirable. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS, and backup systems specific to data centres. Proficient in design tools and software relevant to electrical building services. Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and liaise with clients. A proactive mindset, with a focus on driving innovative and sustainable project solutions.
