The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and security of the multiple schools and sites working through Term Time Teachers. Key Responsibilities may include: To maintain premises security such as being a key holder for the site and ensuring the premises remains secure at all times. Respond to and accurately record all call outs, liaising with the security force and police as appropriate. Regularly test fire alarms, be familiar with the evacuation procedure for the premises, and carry out evacuation drills. Ensure the safe storage of materials covered by the COSHH regulations. Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate. Porterage. Operate, manage, and control the cleaning materials and equipment, including ordering, storing, and distributing to appropriate departments. Report all structural, fabric, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment defects to the appropriate person. Undertake minor/simple repairs as required, e.g., minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, redecorating, and fixing. Undertake regular site premises inspections and identify and record maintenance requirements. Carry out various maintenance duties to ensure good upkeep. Liaise with external contractors and monitor their work ensuring it is carried out promptly. Undertake general cleaning duties within the premises and outside of the premises to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment is maintained. Essential Criteria: Good IT Skills. Ability to relate well to children and adults. Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions. Awareness of COSHH regulations. Awareness of health and hygiene procedures. Knowledge of moving and handling procedures. Able to work as part of a team. Clean driver's licence. Desirable Criteria: COSHH or NEBOSH qualification. Carpentry, plumbing, electrical qualification or experience. One year experience in a school environment in a similar role. Term Time Teachers are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; therefore, all applicants will be subject to a full face-to-face registration and an Enhanced DBS (Formerly known as CRB).
