Quality Control Leader

to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, oversee a skilled quality team, and ensure that the business adheres to its Business Management System requirements. The Role: Team Leadership:

Manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of Shift Quality Technicians and Apprentices. Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities while addressing any disciplinary issues. Provide cover for the Quality & CI Manager and Shift Quality Technicians during periods of absence.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with the Quality & CI Manager to implement new projects, technologies, and systems of work. Actively drive continuous improvement across the site.

Product Quality and Testing:

Ensure performance testing of current products adheres to specifications. Oversee testing of new products and assist in defining product specifications, documenting results through the trial process. Conduct root cause analysis and product investigations where required. Assist with Measurement System Analysis, Gauge Repeatability, and Reproducibility studies. Monitor and challenge production vision and inspection systems to improve efficiency.

Compliance and Audits:

Conduct GMP site audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Complete customer questionnaires, training records, and relevant administrative tasks within the Quality department.

Your Skills and Experience: Demonstrable leadership experience managing multi-discipline teams. Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements. Logical problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments and challenges. Strong communication skills, with the ability to support colleagues under pressure. Advanced user of Microsoft Office packages. GCSEs in Maths, English, and an engineering-related subject (preferred). Experience with smart factory solutions (IIOT) and their integration is advantageous.
