Infrastructure Specialist , you'll provide essential expertise across varied IT systems, delivering technical support and working on strategic improvements. You'll focus on enhancing performance, ensuring security, and implementing innovative solutions to support business operations. System Maintenance and Support: Manage and oversee critical IT systems, ensuring servers, networks, and storage are operating efficiently with minimal downtime. Act as a technical escalation point, addressing complex infrastructure issues with effective 2nd and 3rd line support. Continuously analyse and adjust system configurations to meet evolving business requirements. Proactive Security Measures: Implement robust security protocols to protect IT infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. Participate in regular security reviews, including audits, risk evaluations, and response planning for potential incidents. Maintain compliance with industry standards, legal regulations, and internal security policies. Strategic Technology Development: Contribute to the design, planning, and execution of new infrastructure projects and system upgrades. Research and assess innovative tools and technologies to improve system performance and capabilities. Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and seamless adoption. Technical Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Provide training and technical insights to team members to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Tech Provider and Third-party Management: Partner with external providers to source, maintain, and optimise IT solutions. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service delivery meets organisational expectations and remains cost-effective. Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues and integrate new solutions effectively. Innovation and Optimisation: Identify opportunities to enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Propose and implement system improvements based on emerging trends and technological advancements. Monitor industry developments to keep the organisation at the forefront of IT innovation. About You: We're looking for someone with a strong technical background, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should enjoy solving complex problems and have a collaborative approach to working with teams across the organisation. Essential Skills and Experience: Solid experience in managing IT infrastructure, including Windows servers/operating systems, networks, and security systems. Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V. Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges. Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks, with hands-on experience implementing protective measures. Experience with security tech such as Microsoft Defender, anti-virus software, Endura, detection software is advantageous. Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Azure Administrator are advantageous. Educational Background: A degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience. Why Join Us? Salary:
