As part of our teaching team you should ideally have qualifications to Level 3 (minimum Level 2) in Carpentry and ideally have recent industrial experience. Ideally applicants will have taught at this level previously, hold at least a degree or equivalent with a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to study to gain the qualification. Previous teaching experience although desirable, is not essential. Passing on your knowledge and experience to future talent can be hugely rewarding and gives you the opportunity to shape the future of your industry’s workforce. Teacher training towards a recognised qualification can be provided while you work. In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with FE students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
