Purpose of the Role: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of technical standards, system updates, and service solutions across the EMEA portfolio. Drive the effective and efficient delivery of technical operations, ensuring best practices in the data centre sector. Shape and deliver future engineering strategies while supporting the growth and performance of the business. Act as the primary technical interface for clients, ensuring alignment on technical compliance, operational excellence, and training needs. Promote and implement the Critical Environment Risk Management (CERM) model to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient engineering system operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical authority, supporting maintenance teams and operations. Develop and embed risk management processes, including change control and emergency response plans. Oversee essential maintenance periods and ensure compliance with client requirements. Build a network of technical experts to support scalability and succession planning. Deliver technical needs assessments, develop training plans, and support the creation of reports on reliability, failures, and improvements. Interface between projects and operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices. Lead the management of business-critical assets, including CMMS implementation, capacity reporting, and spares management.

Required Skills and Experience:

Extensive experience in technical management at a senior level, particularly in critical environments or data centres. Strong knowledge of M&E infrastructure, HVAC systems, and complex HV/LV systems. Proficient understanding of compliance standards, such as ACOPs, Health and Safety regulations, and the 18th Edition. Minimum HNC in an engineering discipline (degree preferred). Chartered Engineer status or equivalent experience is advantageous. Proven leadership in implementing best practices, managing change programs, and strategic thinking. Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
