This role demands a hands-on approach, combining expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering with a strong background in product design, CAD, and market readiness. The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to lead projects from conception to production, ensuring innovative and reliable solutions meet industry standards. Duties Design and develop engineering systems and components using tools such as SolidWorks and MATLAB. Create and interpret schematics for various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with team members to integrate logic controllers into system designs. Utilise LabView for data acquisition and control systems. Apply GD&T principles in the design process to ensure precision and accuracy. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability. Document engineering processes and maintain comprehensive records of designs and modifications. Key Responsibilities Design and Development : Lead the conceptual and detailed design of plasma reactor systems and components. Develop innovative solutions to optimize reactor performance and efficiency. CAD and Prototyping : Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software. Oversee the prototyping phase, ensuring alignment with design specifications. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering : Integrate electrical and mechanical systems for seamless operation of plasma reactors. Conduct simulations, analysis, and testing to validate system performance. Product Commercialization : Drive the product development lifecycle from initial concept through to market launch. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product rollout. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Compliance and Standards : Ensure designs meet relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements. Skills and Qualifications Educational Background : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Design Expertise : Proven experience in the design of complex systems, preferably in the plasma or high-tech industries. CAD Proficiency : Advanced skills in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Electrical & Mechanical Knowledge : Strong understanding of both electrical circuits and mechanical systems. Product Development : Track record of successfully taking products from concept to market. Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams. Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical skills to address technical challenges. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Experience At least 5 years’ relevant industrial experience Familiarity with plasma technology or high-vacuum systems. Experience in manufacturing or scaling production processes. Knowledge of relevant compliance standards and certifications.
