We are recruiting for an experienced forward-thinking Quality Engineer for a Manufacturing company based in the Newark area.

Offering a salary of £37-£40k plus benefits to include 25 days holiday and enhanced pension. Further development opportunities are supported additionally for someone who is wanting to progress.

You will be joining an established and experienced team whose purpose is to support the QHSE Manager in ensuring that the factory has effective and integrated quality systems and procedures throughout all processes and that customer satisfaction is constantly reviewed and maintained through the effective management of these systems.

Main Duties

Respond to customer complaints to resolve customer quality issues. Participate in Root Cause analysis using cross-functional team activity. Investigate known and possible product defects and rectify any potential quality issues. Schedule & conduct Internal Audits and support the scheduling and preparation of documentation for Plant ISO9001 Quality System External Audits to ensure continuity of certification. Provide statistical analysis as an aid to manufacturing defect problem solving and process improvement.

Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent) Qualified Auditor in accordance with ISO 9001:2015

Skills & Knowledge

Knowledge of modern Quality (Business) Management Systems. Ability to identify/find faults and offer effective solutions. Good knowledge and understanding of metrology principles and methods.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years practical experience of working within an engineering and production environment to have included mechanical engineering. Internal and External Auditing Experience. Experience in the use of Statistical methods, tools and techniques e.g. SPC, MSA.
