Coventry, CV8 3LF DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? To lead the work activities of the site providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development and team management for the workforce. Accountable for the forward planning of staffing levels for warehouse to drive productivity standards and operational performance. Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Organise and lead the focus on improved productivity levels. Execute against customer requirements and operational KPI's. Support the business to ensure compliance with statutory obligations, company policy and procedure in respect of Health and Safety and working time regulations. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
