Behaviour Mentor

to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in education or youth support, who is keen to make a positive impact on students' lives. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who may require additional support in managing their behaviour and emotions. Your role will be to provide 1:1 mentoring, small group support, and interventions to help students improve their social, emotional, and behavioural development. You will work alongside teaching staff and the pastoral team to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural or emotional challenges Implement strategies to support students in managing their behaviour and emotions in the classroom and around school Work closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to monitor and track students' progress Act as a positive role model, offering guidance, support, and encouragement to students Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them overcome barriers to learning Support students during transitions and help them develop coping strategies Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour Support with the delivery of targeted interventions and behaviour plans

About You: Experience : Experience working with young people in an education or support capacity is highly desirable. A background in youth work, SEN support, or similar is beneficial. Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds. Empathy & Patience : You must be patient, understanding, and resilient, with a strong desire to help students succeed. Knowledge : A good understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies is essential. Qualifications : While not essential, a relevant qualification in education, psychology, or youth work would be advantageous.
