MS547 - Multi-Skilled Engineer, Elec Bias (4 on 4 off)

Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a multi-skilled engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the sites.
The shifts for this role are on a 4 on 4 off basis, involving 4 x 12 hour days (5:00am - 5:00pm) followed by 4 days off.
Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities: Excellent fault finding and strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs. Accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system; strong computer skills are a must. Provide technical support in the correction, prevention, and elimination of technical problems for the site. Work with production during factory start-up. Manage and close out all equipment failures, work orders, and PPM jobs. Skills and Qualifications: Good practical skills and a common-sense approach. Ability to work under extreme pressure, especially if an entire production line is shut down, and willingness to work unsociable hours when required. Self-confidence and ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Understanding of engineering requirements; experience in an FMCG chilled environment is preferred. A recognised qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
