We are looking for talented Advocates to join our Advocacy department, which proudly boasts a combined 60+ years of litigation experience. The team advocates for our other departments on all of their cases and works alongside fee earners to achieve success for our clients. What we offer you Opportunity to improve “on your feet” litigation experience Experience to prepare for your pupillage Working with a wide range of cases 1-1 supervision with an experienced Barrister Development in your drafting and litigation skills What you can expect Hearings, including but not limited to interlocutory applications, case management hearings and infant approval hearings Drafting advices, pleadings and skeleton arguments Offering a high-quality advocacy experience and travel across England and Wales that could require overnight stays What are we looking for? Excellent Communicator with presentation and interpersonal skills to match A fast learner who has a sound working knowledge of the CPR Resilience and ability to think and perform under pressure to meet strict deadlines Someone able to act upon own initiative and ability to think flexibly Sound Academics (minimum 2.1 at degree AND Very Competent for the BPC) Things you want to know Salary
– Minimum of £25,500 per annum Hours
– 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Thursday, with a 5 pm finish on a Friday. Hybrid working
– split between home working, court attendances, and office days (6 days minimum per month). Holidays
– 23 days of holiday per year, rising to 26 days. Birthday holiday day after 2 years service. Benefits
