Senior Scala Developer - London/hybrid role

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Stack Developer to join us during a period of exciting growth and transformation. This role involves working across the entire tech stack, from building sophisticated user interfaces and data visualizations to optimizing complex database operations.
Key Responsibilities: Providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers. Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality outputs. Leading the design and implementation of key system components.
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numerical problem-solving. While knowledge of derivatives (swaps, options, futures, etc.) is advantageous, it is not essential. Proficiency in some of the following technologies is required:
Frontend Technologies:
Typescript React d3 Highcharts Cypress
Backend Technologies:
Scala (and its core library) sbt slick shapeless Play framework Akka (actors and streams)
Database Expertise:
SQL Schema design for relational databases Query performance optimization
Infrastructure Knowledge:
AWS Jenkins
