Job Overview My client is looking for a talented design professional to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for engineering design. This role involves creating and developing schematics, models, and prototypes to support various projects. The Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet both functional and aesthetic requirements while adhering to industry standards. Duties Develop and refine 3D models and technical drawings on design briefs using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications. Utilise SolidWorks for 3D modelling and simulation of components and assemblies. Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of your designs into the manufacturing process. Create detailed documentation of designs, including GD&T specifications and technical reports. Collaborate with other engineers to integrate continuous improvement of the manufacturing process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to design engineering. Qualifications HND or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is essential. Strong understanding of manufacturing principles. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
