Support Worker for Children's Mental Health Vision for Education is looking for a Support Worker for Children's Mental Health to work in an SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health needs) school setting near Corsham.

The School and Role A specialist school near Corsham is looking for a Support Worker for Children's Mental Health to support young people and children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This may include working with children who have suffered trauma, have struggled in a mainstream setting, or are suffering with their mental health. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within their education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development. You must be a driver for this role and be able to work Monday to Friday, term time only. The hours for this role are 8:30am to 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.

Requirements Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality Have experience of working with those with social, emotional, or mental health needs Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support
