JOB-20240830-fed11a3d We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant within Band 3 at a leading healthcare facility in Calow, Chesterfield. This ongoing position offers hourly rates of £13 to £14 and provides both full-time and part-time flexibility. Working hours are typically 09:00 to 17:00, ensuring work-life balance is part of your daily routine. Previous NHS experience is required, and while HCPC registration is preferred, passion for delivering great service is what we are looking for. A driving licence would be beneficial as this role involves working across multiple sites.

What you will do: Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prescribed instructions. Maintain pharmacy inventories by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders. Provide patients with clear guidance on prescription processing and act as a liaison to ensure their needs are met effectively. Process prescriptions and input accurate data into the pharmacy systems while working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy by managing administrative duties as required.
