Job Summary

As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of mechanical and electrical projects ranging from £1 million to £30 million. Your responsibilities will include cost estimation, contract administration, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience in projects related to the design and construction of cleanrooms, controlled environments, and similar works within the pharmaceutical or other sectors is desirable, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E projects ranging from £1M to £30M. Manage contract administration, including procurement, valuations, and final accounts. Monitor project budgets and ensure financial efficiency. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver projects within budget and on time. Conduct risk assessments and provide financial advice to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies. Maintain accurate records and reports related to project finances. Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors within the team.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, preferably in large-scale projects. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within construction. Experience with projects involving cleanrooms or controlled environments is advantageous. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for quantity surveying. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
