Terms and conditions apply. We are offering a new opportunity to join the Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Talking Therapies Workforce Development Hub team. We are a high-quality service providing clinical supervision, a centralised recruitment offer, CPD, and staff wellbeing support. It is an exciting time to join our service as the Lead Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP). The role would ideally suit an experienced senior PWP looking to develop in their career. The post holder can expect a high level of support from the Senior Management team and opportunities for continuing professional development. The Lead PWP will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance to our Step 2 team, overseeing the trainee PWP collaboration process. The Lead PWP will maintain stakeholder relationships and advocate for best practices and wellbeing pertaining to the wider Step 2 workforce in Cheshire and Merseyside. The Workforce Development Hub is a remote-based service; however, the successful candidate will be expected to attend in-person meetings on occasion. Main duties of the job

Ensure effective delivery of the Step 2 provision within the Workforce Development Hub and provide compassionate leadership to the Senior PWP team. Support Senior PWP development within the service, including coordinating training and clinical supervision, appraisals, and continuous professional development (CPD). Oversee the clinical supervision delivery to both trainee and qualified PWPs, serving as the main point of contact with external services and universities. Encourage best practices and support the development of projects that enhance the competency of the Step 2 workforce. Work flexibly across multiple trusts and providers, adhering to a range of policies and procedures in line with the Talking Therapies Manual. Working for our organisation

Qualifications

Talking Therapies Post Graduate Certificate in evidence-based psychological interventions OR Post graduate certificate involving mental health in primary care. Evidence of regular CPD. BPS/BABCP registration. Knowledge and Expertise

Knowledge of different models for understanding anxiety and depression in primary care. Understanding of models of Biopsychosocial assessment, referral management, record-keeping, and evidence-based brief psychological interventions. Experience of working with clients in a primary care setting. Good understanding of the Talking Therapies model, supervision, and service delivery. Experience working as a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in a Talking Therapies service. Ability to carry out a range of evaluation and monitoring techniques. Ability to work through interpreters. Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and delegate appropriately. Experience

Significant experience of working with people with common mental health problems as a PWP. Able to manage own caseload efficiently and achieve agreed activity targets. Ability to demonstrate a range of post-qualifying experiences in delivering evidence-based Talking Therapies low-intensity interventions. Experience of providing mentorship, training, Clinical Skills, and Clinical Case Management supervision to qualified and trainee PWPs. Consolidated and reflective supervised post-qualifying experience in a community setting. Experience of assessing and working with a wide spectrum of mental health issues. Experience of working within the Talking Therapies culture. Experience of line management and leadership or commitment to undertake Trust training programme. Experience of dealing with issues relating to Child Protection/vulnerable adult legislation. Substantial experience of multi-disciplinary teamwork. Experience of ‘partnership working’. Evidence of working within a service development role. Employer certification / accreditation badges
