RRRT Band 4 Therapy Assistant

·

Job Summary

As a therapy assistant with the Richmond Response and Rehabilitation Team (RRRT) your role involves supporting the progression of rehabilitation programmes and the achievement of therapeutic goals as prescribed by qualified therapists within the team for our clients who are experiencing a short-term deterioration in their function and/or mobility following a short illness or injury. Your involvement with the RRRT clients will be supervised by a qualified therapist who you will report back to for all your interventions whilst identifying any unmanaged risks including deterioration in presentation of health and/or function of the client in your care (you will be trained in completing the National Early Warning Score 2 as part of your induction into the team). This role also requires flexibility due to the need to re-prioritise workload management to accommodate the Urgent Care Response for which RRRT provides rapid response interventions within 2 hours of a referral being received either electronically or via phone call into the service. You will be able to motivate and progress clients with their home exercise programmes and practice of activities of daily living thus facilitating a return to their previous level of safe and independent function and mobility as far as is possible. This is a rewarding role which requires patience, ingenuity, awareness of safety and risk management, people and communication skills as well as flexibility. Main duties of the job
