Wayman Group is delighted to present an incredible opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Music at a marvellous school in Harrow, starting in April. As the Head of Music, you will lead and manage the music department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional music education to students. Your role will involve working collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders to create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that ignites a passion for music. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the music department, providing guidance and support to a team of music teachers. Develop and implement a dynamic and comprehensive music curriculum in line with national standards. Deliver engaging and interactive music lessons to students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Identify and nurture musical talent among students, organizing performances and competitions. Coordinate various music events, including concerts, recitals, and workshops. Collaborate with other departments to integrate music into cross-curricular activities and promote interdisciplinary learning. Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in music education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and technologies. Requirements

A degree in Music Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience as a music teacher, with a track record of delivering outstanding music education. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Thorough knowledge of music theory, history, and practical skills. Ability to plan and deliver dynamic and engaging music lessons. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders. Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and educational requirements, including national curriculum guidelines for music education.
