A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join a well-established, recognised UK company in the industrial door and loading bay business, based in Hemel Hempstead.

About the company Our client is a specialist in the supply, install and maintenance of loading bay equipment for manufacturing, warehouse loading and distribution networks. They also provide high speed doors and roller shutter doors for industrial, production lines, cleanroom and food processing applications. They are a total package provider and can design and install loading bay solutions, from single products such as dock levellers, scissor lifts and loading doors, through to complete loading docks, as well as dedicated after sales support thanks to its nationwide repair and maintenance network.

About the role As a Senior Engineer you will be expected to: Service, repair and install the majority of industrial doors on the UK market. Training will be given on bespoke products. Overcome and/or diagnose the majority of mechanical and electrical problems. Communicate with clients and internal administration in a polite, friendly and professional manner.

About you To be successful for the role of Senior Engineer, you must have the following essential skills: A minimum of 4 plus years field experience within the industry. Excellent knowledge of all types of Industrial Doors. Mechanical engineering skills. Fork truck licence. Floor saw experience. Abrasive wheels, grinders. Driving licence. Electrical knowledge, wiring of control box. Working at height. Scissor and boom. Ability to work on own initiative. Determined and self motivated. Team player.

Telehandler, Welding and oxyacetylene certification would be desirable.

About the rewards For the role of Senior Engineer the package includes: A starting salary of £35,000 to £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Company pension scheme entitlement. Healthcare in the form of the company’s physio is also provided.

NVQ & DHF qualifications will be offered to the right candidate along with the opportunity of the company paying for Electrical qualification.
