Your new company, Hays Belfast, are currently recruiting for a Site Manager on behalf of an industry-leading residential construction company specializing in high volume, quality-built housing sites across Northern Ireland. Your new company is currently working on one of the largest residential sites in Northern Ireland, and this is an excellent opportunity for you to be part of that. With a continued steady pipeline of work in the construction of residential developments, inclusive of apartments, single-family homes, and accompanying commercial buildings, now is the perfect time to join this employer. This contractor is delivering entire communities ready for their new occupants upon project completion, and due to continued demand and reputation for quality, they now require an experienced Site Manager to join their team. Your new role: Based in Belfast, on the outskirts of the city and in a very commutable location to the motorway, your new role will see you working alongside a team of construction professionals to deliver turnkey residential properties from inception to delivery. As part of a management team, you will be delivering a large-scale residential development in West Belfast. This development will include 653 homes, commercial units, and apartment buildings on the massive 75-acre site located in West Belfast. The role will see you assume responsibility for the construction of seven apartment blocks with an overall value of £20 million and work closely with the rest of the management team in delivering the £95 million total development. As Site Manager, some of your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Oversee the day-to-day direction of your package to ensure it meets expectations and deadlines. Liaise with other members of the management team to ensure the overall project is completed in a cohesive, efficient manner. Ensure Health & Safety is always maintained as well as adjusting timelines based on the project’s progress, and regularly communicate project goals to on-site employees. Regularly review project progress to assess how closely it’s proceeding to the projected timeline. Manage on-site labor and specialist trades to ensure quality is achieved throughout the course of the build. Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders including sub-contractors and clients while ensuring the quality delivery of the project. What you need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience overseeing construction projects in a Site Management capacity. You will have previous experience of carrying out works at a management level on residential projects, as well as possessing relevant tickets (SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / NVQ). You will stand out if you have previous experience working on high-value residential developments and specifically managing the construction of apartment blocks. This client will be open to candidates coming from traditional trades and engineering backgrounds. You must be commutable to Belfast for the long term with this site due to run for many more years.
