If preffered to engage on a contract role this will also be considered Job Description: We are seeking an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems for a data centre project in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project, ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and handed over to the highest standards. Responsibilities: Manage the commissioning process for all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing. Oversee testing, validation, and integration of critical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational requirements. Prepare and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures. Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless system performance. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing effective resolutions to maintain project timelines. Ensure all documentation, including test certificates, operational manuals, and commissioning records, is accurate and complete. Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure critical systems, such as backup power, cooling, and security, are commissioned to meet the specific requirements of a data centre environment. Requirements: Proven experience as an M&E Commissioning Manager within the data centre environment Strong knowledge of commissioning mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and fire protection. Relevant qualifications/accreditations, such as: CSCS Manager Card SSSTS or SMSTS HV/LV Authorisation (desirable) Degree or HND/HNC in Building Services or similar field (preferred) Excellent understanding of commissioning procedures, testing protocols, and compliance standards. Strong problem-solving and organisational skills with a focus on detail. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain effective communication.
