The Oxfordshire CAMHS Getting More Help (GMH) team provides a community service to children and adolescents who are experiencing mental illness, using multiple evidence-based interventions. Our service is currently developing, and we are recruiting for a number of new roles. The post will be based in Oxford South GMH, a team with a reputation for being creative, innovative, forward-thinking, dynamic, and research-led. The wellbeing of staff is top of the agenda, with a strong ethos of collaboration, shared reflection, and team working. We are looking for someone with existing or transferable experience/skills and a passion to work with children and young people with complex difficulties, to improve service quality and empower recovery. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, creative in finding solutions, an excellent communicator and leader, and possess good organisational skills. Main duties of the job Using your clinical expertise, you will provide help and support to patients with complex presentations, adopting a lead role in the provision of evidence-based interventions and supporting the wider professional network in understanding the young person's presentation, and adhering to care plans. You will be expected to exercise autonomous clinical responsibility for the assessment, formulation, treatment, and discharge of patients in the service, while being embedded within a diverse multidisciplinary team. The role will enable you to offer professional leadership and expert advice, consultancy, and supervision to support the work of colleagues providing care and treatment. You will also liaise with members of other disciplines and agencies responsible for client care. Be compassionate, caring, and creative with excellent communication skills. Qualifications Essential Registered Mental Health Nurse, with current registration Educated to degree level Advanced clinical skills in the relevant specialty Completion of evidence-based interventions for eating disorders across the age range Continuing registration with the body overseeing the practice of core mental health profession, NMC Desirable Non-medical prescribing qualification, willingness to work towards Leadership training/qualification. Knowledge and Experience Essential Post graduate training in and experience of evidence-based interventions in CAMHS Evidence of contribution to policy, protocols, and patient care pathway development Formal management skills and experience Evidence of involvement in innovative practice or service developments Formal leadership skills and experience Desirable Published papers. Involvement in Quality Improvement and/or Research Experience Essential Experience of mentoring and clinical supervision of others Experience of teaching, facilitating, and formal training courses
