VR Lead
Portsmouth - Hybrid

We are working with a creative technology organisation that is looking for a VR Project Lead to join them on a permanent basis. The business is delivering an array of high-tech products to a number of different industries and, after another year of huge growth, are expanding once again. Think VR headsets and realistic simulators; they create immersive worlds where you can play and escape into another universe.
You will be responsible for leading the 3D Modeller and XR Development teams in the delivery and support of VR and AR projects for the Defence and Private sectors. This role is also responsible for the management and development of these teams, creating plans to guide and encourage progression within their roles.
You will also need to collaborate with wider areas of the Business to ensure Programme costs, schedules, and quality are understood and maintained throughout the project lifecycle, escalating risks and issues as appropriate.
They are looking for you to have experience in the following:
Proven success in delivering complex system/engineering products through leadership of an engineering team - preferably within a Defence and/or a Training and Simulation environment.
Sufficient understanding of the Software Engineering process to be able to provide documented technical output to describe development items.
Knowledge of XR Modelling and Development Tools.
Knowledge of agile methodologies, tools, and techniques.
